Sustainable, comfortable and inspirational

This eco-house is a re-imagining of a rural home that reflects the owners’ passion for the Arts and Crafts Movement and return to their beloved Tasmania after years of a successful Sydney based creative enterprise. The bespoke home created is a long distance collaboration of the highly motivated, imaginative and exacting owners with Eco-style and the builders at In2construction.

The previous modifications had been an ad hoc and damaging to the original charm of the existing house. The brief was rejuvenate, restore and expand the house into an environmentally sustainable but poetic dwelling on a dramatic Huon Valley site, engaging with the landscape and the family of farm buildings including the Pickers Hut. The owners wanted to bring beauty to everyday activities, to create a place of inspiration, peace and joyful living.
