ClearComfort window insulation - Intelligent window insulation

ClearComfort window insulation keeps heat where you and your family need it most: warmth inside your house in winter, and outside your house in summer. With our intelligent windows insulation you will create a year-round comfort zone for your family, while enjoying clear views and unimpeded daylight.

The ClearComfort system provides the energy savings of double-glazing at a fraction the cost!

ClearComfort insulation is a tough, transparent membrane that attaches to your window frame to enclose an insulating layer of air.

Windows are critical to the overall energy efficiency of a house. When you apply the ClearComfort transparent membrane to your windows you will instantly increase the Energy Rating (Star value) of your home The ClearComfort insulation system achieves a Five Star energy rating for windows as measured by the NatHERS methodology.

The ClearComfort system has been tested by a NATA accredited auditor using the Australian Window Energy Rating Scheme (WERS) developed by the CSIRO and the Australian Window Association. The audited measurement of energy saving after fitting ClearComfort to a typical bare, clear, single-glazed window of 1500 mm x 1800 mm are:
11% better for cooling
17% better for heating
12% less interior fading

The ClearComfort solution uses state-of-the-art technology from the plastics and adhesives industries.

Do it yourself

Contents of the ClearComfort Kit:
totally transparent heat-shrink membrane, equally transparent strong double-sided tape, instruction sheet.

You will need:
scissors, cutting blade, a small hand-held hair dryer.

Simple three-step process

1. Tape frame with transparent double-sided tape

2. Press on membrane, cut off excess

3. Shrink membrane with hairdryer until taut and smooth

Most timber window frames (including doors and skylights) have a flat surface for attaching the tape and polymer sheet without further treatment.

If you have a different type of window frame you may need to vary the method. These variations are described in the instruction sheet. We have a solution for just about every type of window.
